Jessica Russo
I was born and raised in Norton, MA. I was so lucky to have been raised with horses and have ridden my whole life. In my younger and more adventurous years, I competed in a variety of disciplines including saddleseat, huntseat, dressage and western. I spent every moment at the barn cleaning stalls and riding every chance that I could.
My lifelong love of animals, especially horses, made veterinary medicine the perfect fit!
I do have a soft spot for rescues. I love watching and having direct involvement in the rehabilitation process. Seeing a horse that is shut down emotionally and physically, then slowly heal and blossom, is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I'm so grateful that I have had the opportunity to help those that I can.
At the moment, my "project" is a beautiful yearling Warmblood who happens to be a fiery chestnut that we named Freya. I adopted her from a rescue as a weanling. We are learning together and having a blast. My hope is that we will have many years of adventures - out exploring the trails and whatever other fun things we can do together. I am also blessed to have a Dutch Warmblood, who was a dressage horse in his younger years, and now spends his days as a retired pasture puff. And Oliver, a mini stallion, who loves to taunt his friends and cause trouble - he's lucky he's so cute!
My husband and I reside in N. Easton, MA., with our 4 teenagers, 3 horses and 1 dog. I enjoy time at home with my family, spending time in the barn with the horses, and snuggling up with our dog, Dozer.
