How do I get a Rabies Certificate or Proof of Vaccination for showing, etc?

Rabies Certificates and Vaccination Certificates can be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed directly to you or wherever you would like us to send a copy of them.  Each Town, Show, and State has different requirements.  If you need a copy of your rabies and/or vaccination certificate, please contact us.

Do I have to be at the appointment to meet with Kendyl?

Yes, someone has to be available to meet Kendyl and hold the horse(s).  If the horse owner is not able to meet with Kendyl, the owner will be responsible for finding someone to meet and help Kendyl at the time of the appointment.

Why can't I have an exact appointment time?

As much as we would like to give you an exact time, the schedule (and traffic) is a little unpredictable.  Since we can not give exact times, we will give you a ball-park estimate (morning, mid-day, afternoon, etc).  We will also give you at least a 30 minute heads up and let you know when Kendyl is on her way to the farm so you are not waiting all day.  If you need a longer heads up, please be sure to tell us when you schedule your appointment.

What if I can't wait until the first available regular appointment to have my horse seen?

We have busy months (spring, summer, and fall) and slow months (winter).  During our busy season it is not unheard of to wait 3-4 weeks for our first available appointment.  If you have deadlines for showing or traveling, we ask that you set up your appointments well in advance.  Dr. Foristall is also available for emergencies or urgent visits if you (or your horse) can not wait to be seen until our first available regular appointment.  Emergencies are for immediate matters.  Urgent Visits are Monday and Wednesday evening.

What do I do if Dr. Foristall is away or on vacation and I have an emergency or matter that can not wait?

Every once in a while Dr. Foristall does go away for personal or business matters.  If she is away and there is also no one available in the office to assist you, our voice-mail message will be updated with information about the local veterinarians on-call for Kendyl while she is unavailable. These veterinarians are able to assist with emergencies, urgent matters, and any questions or issues that can not wait.

I've tried calling the office, but I am immediately connected to a recorded message?

If you are calling during business hours and the phone goes directly to a recorded message, we are most likely on the phone with another client.
If you have an emergency or urgent matter, please press 0 to be connected directly to the emergency/urgent voice-mail line.  Kendyl is notified immediately of these emergency/urgent voice-mails and will call you back right away.  If you leave a recorded voice-mail for the office, we will return your call as soon as possible.
